Regular Season Round 12: Partizan - Buducnost 90-97

Undefeated SerbianPartizan (11-1) recorded its first loss in Beograd on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Montenegrin Buducnost (10-2) 97-90 . It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Partizan. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Buducnost made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Partizan helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American point guard McKinley Wright IV (182-1998, college: Colorado) who scored 22 points and 6 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Nigerian-American Rasheed Sulaimon (194-1994, college: Maryland) chipped in 22 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Sterling Brown (197-1995, college: SMU) who recorded 23 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import center Tyrique Jones (206-1997, college: Xavier, agency: Pensack Sports) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Buducnost have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending Montenegrin champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Crvena zvezda. Partizan at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost.
